Ski hire Sierra Nevada

As the most Southerly ski resort in Europe the Sierra Nevada occupies a privileged position commanding spectacular views over the Atlas mountains down to Morocco.

Combining the sun of a Mediterranean beach holiday with high altitude peaks and slopes, Sierra Nevada has the best of both worlds. With the village sitting at 2,100m and the slopes reaching up to 3,300m you're sure find great snow for skiing and snowboarding all the way back down to your accommodation during the six month long winter season.Between November and April the more than 100km of marked slopes in the ski area make Sierra Nevada the ideal resort for all levels of skiers and boarders. The runs are varied in difficulty and cover lots of different types of terrain meaning they're great for families and mixed ability groups, with gentle nursery slopes and great blue and red runs, along with steep blacks and incredible open off-piste expanses to explore.

Any freestylers in your group are also catered for as Sierra Nevada is Spain's most pioneering resort for snowboarding. There's a dedicated run with a half-pipe for boarders, and two snowparks - one large and filled with the jumps and rails and one mini park.

Families will also love the facilities at the resort for children, like the Snow Garden, crèche, and the Mirlo Blanco zone. Dedicated to fun snow sports, in this zone you and your kids can go ice skating, inner tubing, ski biking, and roller-sledding - a combination of rollercoaster and bobsledding. And the resort centre, the highest village in Spain, has facilities for all age groups to enjoy. There's great shopping, a big sports centre, swimming pools, and spas. Cuisine from around the world is available in the many restaurants, and the après ski is fantastic with loads of late night options. Spain's highest resort, and Europe's sunniest, is only an hour from Granada airport, and has so much to see and do that it makes a fantastic destination for short breaks or much longer holidays.

In the heart of the resort, thanks to Snowrental, you can find skis at a lower cost in our partner stores Skiset - Luis Sanchez Sports 1.
