Ski hire Saalbach

Saalbach is a traditional Austrian Alpine village, and together with the villages of Hinterglemm and Leogang it makes the vast Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang ski circus. The area has 200km of slopes which are varied in level, and the three villages are have different characters so this resort caters equally well for serious skiers, partiers, and families. Saalbach is the largest town and has the liveliest nightlife, Hinterglemm is quieter and has more self-catering accommodation than Saalbach, and Leogang is the quietest and most popular with families. The villages are well linked by the lift system and there are shuttle buses to transport non-skiers/boarders between them. The 200km of pistes on the mountains surrounding the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang area are divided between north and south facing slopes, and are made up of a combination of gentle blues, mixed reds, difficult blacks, wooded glades, and open powder bowls. For snowboarders and freestyle skiers the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang area has three snowparks and an excellent skier/boardercross course. The snowparks are shaped daily and are a fantastic place for beginners or for those who want to improve their skills.Other winter sports in the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang area include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and tobogganing. For faster, engine-powered snow fun you can try snowmobiling, piste basher driving, quad biking, or ice karting. And you can explore the area from the sky by paragliding, either solo or if it's your first time in tandem - there's also the Flying Fox XXL zip line through the resort which reaches speeds of up 130kpm!Off the pistes there are a huge variety of indoor activities in the villages. In Hinterglemm there's a sports centre with pool, solarium, sauna, and tennis hall - this is also where you'll find the night skiing area. In Saalbach itself there's a bowling alley, art gallery, ice skating rink, and a local museum. And of course, the area is world famous for its excellent après ski and events.
