Obergurgl is the highest town in Austria and sits in the spectacular Ötz Valley. The altitude of Obergurgl results in fantastic snow and long winter ski seasons. The slopes of Ubergurgl span an immense 110km and are varied in level. There are some excellent ski schools in the area, plenty of choice for intermediates with 50% of the runs graded red, and expert skiers and boarders will be captivated by the off-piste possibilities on the high peaks of the Ötztal Alps. There's also glacial skiing available at the neighbouring resort of Sölden.All the fun isn't just on the mountains though, in town you'll find a wealth of things to do. For some friendly competition why not have a tournament in the bowling alley, a game on one of the many billards tables, or a curling match on the village's ice rink?
