Ski hire Nauders
The authentic Tyrolean town of Nauders sits between Austria and Italy, and has access to snow sports on both sides of the border. Just over one hours' drive from Innsbruck airport, Nauders is easily accessible for short breaks or longer stays, and it's peaceful village centre is perfect for family trips and relaxing winter holidays. From Nauders, with one ski pass, you can explore the entire Reschenpass ski area. Composed of 3,000m high mountains in Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, the ski area has 116km of marked slopes across three areas. These ski areas range from 1,400m up to 2,850m, and thanks to these high altitudes the slopes are snow-sure from December until the end of April. There's terrain to suit everyone at Reschenpass, from novices taking their first ski lesson or intermediates looking for long downhills to cruise, to experts seeking moguls or deep-filled off-piste powder bowls. And with its state-of-the-art lift system you can easily explore this varied terrain and make the most of your winter sports holiday. As well as enjoying the slopes and off-piste in the Reschenpass ski areas, snowboarders have a snowpark and a half-pipe, and a newly enlarged boardercross course in the Bergkastel area - which is the closest ski area to Nauders. To enjoy the area without skiing or snowboarding you can explore the many winter hiking and snowshoe trails, go climbing up frozen waterfalls, or if you're brave you can try paragliding. After all your adventures in the snow you can return to Nauders and chill out in the town's relaxing atmosphere. Home to three indoor swimming pools, spa centres, and an ice rink, the town has many evening activities, and once a week there's a night skiing event. For dinner there are many restaurants to choose from, serving a variety of cuisines. And Nauders has a few bars where you can enjoy the après ski hours.
