And also from Kirchberg you have direct access to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental ski area, which comprises more than 250km of slopes, even more off-piste to discover, and the Boarders Playground in Westendorf which is home to the legendary 28m "Big Mama" kicker and tons of other obstacles for beginners to pros to try out. But it's not all about downhill skiing and snowboarding in the Brixen Valley. Cross-country skiing is another popular sport, along with winter hiking. The area has numerous trails you can follow, on foot, skis, or snowshoes, which allow you to enjoy the amazing scenery in the area and cross into the other regions of the Kitzbühel Alps. From Kirchberg you can also take one of the many tours to discover the surrounding area and its history. There's also an indoor swimming pool for kids in the village with slides and adventure pools, and grown-ups have plenty of pools and spas to enjoy in town. In the evening Kirchberg comes alive with loads of restaurants and bars welcoming skiers and snowboarders back from the slopes.
