Ski hire Glungezer

Glungezer is a resort in the Tux Alps in Tyrol. It is located about ten kilometers southeast of Innsbruck and takes its name from the 2,677 meter peak that overlooks the resort.

Heading for the longest slope in Tyrol

The Glungezer ski area can be reached from the village of Tulfes. Pick up your cheap ski rental in our ski store at the foot of the slopes, then board the gondola to Halsmarter, the mid-range area of the resort. You can start exploring the slopes or continue to the top level on the Tulfein Express. A red trail then takes you to the Schartenkogel chairlift to reach the top of the resort at 2,304 meters. A 15 km descent that will lead you directly to the village will then be waiting for you! A total of 23 km of trails await you in this area. The 15.5 km of red runs and the only black run are located at the top of the resort. The 2 blue runs total 3.5 km and start from Halsmarter.

The mountain in all its states

Located at the gates of the city, Glungezer is a friendly and natural destination. It offers holidaymakers the opportunity to discover the mountains in a different way, for example with night-time ski touring sessions. You can also enjoy beautiful walks on two trails prepared for pedestrians. Count on about an hour to cover these loops accessible to all levels. The routes alternate between forest passages, head-to-head with the Glungezer and impressive panoramas of the valley below. The starting point for these tours is next to the Gasthof Halsmarter mountain restaurant. The start of the toboggan run, on the other hand, is in the Tulfein area. The 3.7 km long downhill run from 2,054 m to 1,560 m above sea level will take you on 17 spectacular turns!

Gourmet vacations in Glungezer

Glungezer is a family resort: the après-ski is rather quiet. On the other hand, on the ski area as well as in the village of Tulfes, you will find several bars and restaurants where you can discover the local specialities. Warm atmosphere and gourmet cuisine: impossible to resist! After a little soup to warm you up, there is nothing like a plate of knödel (local dumplings) to get your strength back. Austria is obliged to order a pint of beer for a truly authentic meal. If you want to add a cultural escapade to your vacation in Glungezer, plan a day in Innsbruck. The Imperial Palace, Ambras Castle and the facade of the Little Golden Roof are worth a visit.

Austria is a great country for skiing, and offers you a change of scenery. With friends or family, put your luggage down in Glungezer for a ski holiday in a sumptuous setting.
