In its high valley Gerlos sits on the banks of a river at 1,300m and is perfectly placed to enjoy Austria’s Zillertal region. These along with the winter hiking and snowshoe routes across the area allow you to experience the landscape of Zillertal at a different pace and perspective. Horse riding is also a popular activity through this snowy landscape, as is paragliding which gives you a stunning overview of the valley.For indoor activities Gerlos has tennis and squash courts, as well as, numerous beauty and wellness centres. But the main activities in the village are during the après ski hours, when the restaurants and bars of the village come alive.
