Ski hire Borovets
Located in the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria, Borovets is only 73 km from Sofia. An unusual ski destination, this resort is the largest in the country.
The temple of Bulgarian downhill skiing
You didn't think you could ski in Bulgaria? However, since its inauguration in 1896 by Prince Ferdinand I, Borovets has never ceased to demonstrate that it can rival the biggest resorts in the Alps. Located above the village of Samokov, it offers 58 km of skiing from 1,325 to 2,550 meters of altitude. 24 km of blue runs, 29 km of red runs and 5 km of black runs. They are spread over 3 sectors: Sitnjakovo, Jastrebec and Markudžika. Located at the foot of the ski area, our partner's store is the place to go for your cheap ski rental.
Skiing and nature
The slopes of Borovets are located in the heart of a dense forest and are suitable for all styles. At the foot of the resort, the Nordic area has 10 km prepared for skating and cross-country skiing. The resort also has a biathlon stadium that hosts national competitions. Powder lovers can rely on Borovets' guides to explore the powder of the highest peaks in the Balkans. From ski touring to freeride, you can enjoy the thrill of it all!
Fun for young and old
Borovets is a resort to explore with family and friends. The Fun Park awaits lovers of jumps and tricks on 2 lines offering modules for all levels. Rails, boxes and kicks offer 250 meters 100% freestyle. For a new kind of thrill, try snowmobile driving! Your little ones can have fun at Borokids Park, a fun and safe area reserved for children. They can take their first lessons, try their hand at a mini-slalom and then have fun on the buoys. When night falls, before exploring the opportunities offered by the Borovets après-ski, treat yourself to a run under the stars. A dozen trails for all levels, as well as the luge track, are illuminated for a unique experience.
A lively resort
It's impossible to get bored in Borovets! In addition to its varied activity menu, the resort has a full agenda. Sports events are organized throughout the season. On March 1, the tradition of the Martenitza, a legendary figure of the country, is celebrated. Everyone hangs a red and white tassel on their jacket in honor of the woman nicknamed Baba Marta, and then gets together to celebrate.
By putting your bags down in Borovets, you will make your skiing vacations a different experience. Friends or children: your tribe will not be able to resist the warm atmosphere of this Bulgarian resort.
