Font Romeu is a charming ski resort located in the heart of the nature park of the Catalan Pyrenees, in the Eastern Pyrenees. It is known as the sunniest resort the in France (more than 3000 hours of sunshine per year), and offers ideal climatic conditions to enjoy the area to the full. Located at an altitude of 1800 m, between France and Spain, on the vast plateau of the Cerdagne, Font Romeu offers a breathtaking view of the mountains reaching a peak of more than 2900 m.
Font Romeu is part, with the resort of Bolquère-Pyrénées 2000, of the Font Romeu-Pyrénées 2000 ski area. You can ski on 58 kilometres of ski slopes: 8 black runs, 8 red, 9 blue and 15 green maintained by more than 500 snow cannons and served by 24 ski lifts.
Thrill seekers, Font Romeu also has a snow park with modules suitable for beginners as well as for the expert skiers/snowboarders.
During the whole winter there are 2 bob-sleigh runs, 1 baby bob-sleigh run, a fun area of 20 hectares, a dual slalom and 2 mini border cross areas available for children.
110 kilometres of ski slopes are dedicated to cross-country skiing.
