Ski hire Plagne - Champagny en Vanoise

At 1,250m on a sunny mountainside in the Savoie region of France you'll find the traditional farming village of Champagny en Vanoise. With rustic buildings surrounding the 17th century Baroque church in the centre, the village is a charming holiday destination and has great facilities and services. However the real attraction of Champagny en Vanoise in winter is the cable car which takes you up to the La Plagne ski area and gives you access to the entire Paradiski region. One of the biggest ski areas in Europe, Paradiski has an amazing 425km of marked pistes across three ski resorts: La Plagne, Les Arcs, and Peisey-Vallandry. Covering a vast range of terrain the slopes are varied in level and allow you to choose from wide carving slopes, heavily wooded slopes, high glacial ski areas, or fresh powder fields - to name just a few.Not only great for downhill skiing and snowboarding, the Paradiski area also has 153km of cross-country ski trails, two snowparks, two boardercross courses, a half-pipe, and a bobsleigh track which allows you to reach speeds of up to 134km per hour.At between 1,200m and 3,250m the ski area has an excellent snow record, and lends itself well to many other winter activities. The frozen waterfalls in the Champagny le Haut Valley are ideal for ice climbing, and the artificial Ice Tower is a great place to learn the basics of this sport. And the mountainsides and valleys of the area can be explored from the air by paragliding or speedriding, and at a slower pace on the many snowshoe and hiking routes.Back in the village you'll find lots of après ski activities for all the family. The kids club organises loads of fun things for children to do, like crafts, games, and sledging. There's a cinema if you fancy some indoor entertainment, and of course Champagny en Vanoise has lots of great bars and restaurants which you can enjoy until late in the night, often with live music or theme nights.
