The Sumo has always stunned with its dimensions since its inception two years ago. Now entering its third season the core has changed to the lighter and more manageable honey-combed Dual Layer Sensor Wood Core. Available in two lengths, 175 and 190, the Sumo’‘s are pure powder skis with little use for on-piste riding. The flex is relatively tolerant and they are not for the hard-core, high-speed, straight lining skier.
The Sumo’‘s love the back-country, heli-skiing guy or gal that want a light, smooth flexing ski and they reward you with a silken ride to further enjoy the terrain.

The Sumo was and still is the ultimate weapon in deep snow. with the widest sidecut in the Volkl range(145-125-142) it glides effortlessly over powder hangings, creating a surf like feeling.
